Simmons and Savoie was established in Napoleonville, LA in 1954 by Ansul "Buster" Simmons and Felix Savoie, Jr. Initially, Buster Simmons and Felix Savoie, Jr. practiced law and focused on life insurance.
Shortly after, in 1956, Donald Savoie, Sr. joined and the agency was incorporated. The agency then took more of a property and casualty direction.
In 1980, Donald Savoie, Jr. joined the agency. Along with his father, they purchased Buster Simmons and Felix Savoie, Jr's interest in 1981.
Simmons and Savoie was one of the first independant agencies to go computerized in 1984 and paperless in 2002. We will continue to adapt to the changing technologies in order to better serve you, our customers. We currently represent most major carriers. We strive to provide excellent service. No one understand's the local communities' frustrations with rates more than we do and we are constantly finding new carriers to offer more competetive rates in this area. We are proud to offer coverages for all of your business and personal needs.
